"I works hard on dese dayz I tell you. I helps folds da cloze while big Brofur Miki takes da eazy job uv holdin da laundry in da basket sos it not get away from da Small One."
MikiCato said: "Laundry day de day when we finds all da sockies whut disapearedwentbybye da last laundry day. Dey usuallys is where da Rowdy done hided dem."
Rowdy said: "Yawnz ..... borings. I likes da daze when Da Large one done gots da flashy thing turned off on da pikturemakinthingie and I gets my handsome like selves on da computy pikture show what goes all da times when da Large One not pekin on da keys."
Buddy Bear said: "Bed makin day de day when I gets good smellin sheets an headpillarcoverthingies on MY bed. I laks dat. Da Large One shed so much uv dat long ole gray hair, it nice to not sleep on it for a changes."
Large One said: "You watch it fuzzbutt. You can be replaced by a big fluffy feather pillow that has no whiskers to tickle my nose in the middle of the night."
Small One said: "Tegar! You missed a wrinkle over here. You must be more careful. I always wanted help doing this, but now ..... I think help is the LAST think I need. Rowdy, leave the pillowcases alone!"
Note: With that last remark, the Large One took one last picture, turned and made himself unavailable for further comment.
The bed was finished, eventually, the clothes were folded and put away, and the catfur blankets were well spread on the freshly laundered linen, on the newly made bed, long before the Large One reappeared to quietly sneak between the sheets for a quiet nap.
This is one of the days when the Large One should be not seen, not heard, and certainly not available for any tasks and odd jobs that might/usually is/are laid on his poor, overworked, aged old head. Not a day to consider relaxing, and for that matter even taking pictures puts the camera wielder at risk of conscription.
Yours truly survived THIS particular day, and the day the pictures were made, but there were days ..... but that's fodder for another random housework day tail. Maybe this time next week?
As always, I feel loved.
Later .....

ReplyDeleteWe boys love to "help" the mom change the sheets on her bed. Sadly, she doesn't have an appreciation for our assistance and tends to unceremoniously dump us on the floor.
ReplyDeleteLaundry day is a favourite, here! Our mum says it take 10 times longer to make the bed since we got here.
ReplyDeleteLaundry day is always fun. I like to play bed monsters in case there are any lumps that need squishing.

Well, your crew is such a big help, I could use them at our house.
ReplyDeleteAll "The Boys" want to do is just sit on the bed and "maybe" get under the sheet to make a lump.
