Monday - Tower Guards

Back a couple three summers ago, we moved the boys' tower in front of the open front door.  Since we seldom use that door to escape the confines of the Manor, we thought the little guys would get a charge out of being able to lounge in their favorite places and watch bird TV at the same time.
Mixed results came from that experiment.  There appears to be no more 'togetherness' and sharing of the good stuff ..... of course the facts that all four are now fully grown, just shy of being over fed, lazy, and a mite jealous of each other, have nothing to do with it.  NOTHING, they will adamantly proclaim.
WE have opposing views on the subject, but since this is their day .....

Tegar and MikiCato were fine with the arrangements
each has his own shelf with excellent views of the activities
on bird TV
Watching Miki reminded me of Superbowl TV time
back when all the boys in the house had two legs
and always wanted to borrow the family car
and Dad's credit card after the game.

These two ..... well what can I say
they had their own things going
best we could figure, they were guarding the house
from bugs and dust bunnies
Rowdy and Buddy Bear always were a little odd, I'm thinking

The tower now resides beside the fun room heater situated in the center of the east wall of the double room.  Bird TV is visible from both the front and the rear windows, although I've noticed an abundance of cat toys have learned how to climb said tower to spend quality time being mauled and mangled.  Then too, the Mancatly arts of slumber, snooze, and napping are up there at the top of the favorite 'cat tree' activities practiced quite regularly.
So much for the saga of the 'rambling Cat tree/perch/roost/playhouse in the air/thingie' at Five Oaks Manor, SouthWoodsUSA.  Now, on to other domestic activities.
We never know what story will rear it's noteworthy head around this place.  Therefore, writing materials are easily accessible in every room, and I have taken to walking around with the little camera in my pocket.  Heh!  It even took a nap with us (Miki and Me) one day last week.  I'm gone ..........
     As always, I feel loved.
     Later .....

  1. The Northwoods kitties tree is too big to fit anywhere but the original spot. It has a curvy place right at the top (84" high) that belongs to Tash. She only uses it in winter when the heat vent located a couple feet to the east of said tree it pumping out warmth.

  2. A very impressive looking cat tree indeed. We have two and soon need to be fixed with new coverings.

  3. I need to recover ours. It's only 5 foot high, but still, it will take a bit of doing. I'm thinking the cats are going to have to help me. Lot of work there. They (the kitties) are worth it though.
